Daniel Juncadella set a new benchmark time under the 1:32” mark as did 5 other drivers during ELMS FP2 at Imola in addition to Ben Hanley who was alone under that mark during FP1.

This morning FP1 at Imola for the third round of the European Le Mans Series saw Ben Hanley under the 1:32” mark in LMP2, Mathias Beche under the 1:32.500 in LMP2 Pro-Am and Charlie Eastwood under the 1:43” in LMGT3.

The 44 cars present at Imola for this weekend 4 Hours race had two test sessions today. Matteo Cairoli did set the fastest lap of the day.

For the second time in a row in ELMS, women scored two wins with Jamie Chadwick winning overall and Lilou Wadoux winning LMGT3. 

Cracking batte for pole position between three drivers in LMP2 where Nick Yelloly and Charles Milesi outpaced Matteo Cairoli during the very last lap.

Adrien Closmenil clinched his second pole this season. Only two other drivers were within 1 second of Closmenil fastest lap.

Clement Mateu (Racing Spirit of Leman’s #59 Aston Martin Vantage) outpaced all Bronze LMGT3 drivers during the LMGT3 qualifying session.

Cairoli still on top of combined practices

Matteo Cairoli in Iron Lynx – Proton’s #9 ORECA 07 Gibson topped the times in the first practice session at Le Castellet with only Pietro Fittipaldi able to lap within one second from Cairoli’s benchmark.

At ELMS Barcelona round the Iron Dames led 117 laps of the 121 covered. Michelle Gatting, Sarah Bovy and Célia Martin stamped their authority on the four-hour contest with a commanding performance.
