7 LMP2 drivers under 1:32.500 mark at FP1 in Imola

This morning FP1 at Imola, for the third round of the European Le Mans Series, saw Ben Hanley under the 1:32” mark in LMP2, Mathias Beche under the 1:32.500 in LMP2 Pro-Am and Charlie Eastwood under the 1:43” in LMGT3.

Ben Hanley alone under 1:32”

Ben Hanley with United Autosports’ #22 ORECA did set a 1:31.878 and put United Autosports’ PRO entry at the top of the timing scheets.

5 other LMP2 under 1:32.500

Theo Pourchaire driving the #25 Algarve Pro Racing ORECA was second with a 1:32.144, followed by Nicholas Yelloly in the Inter Europol Le Mans class-winning #43 and Marceo Capietto at the wheel of Proton’s #9 ORECA.

Esteban Masson with the #48 VDS Panis Racing entry was fifth ahead of Pietro Fittipaldi in #10 Vector Sport Oreca.

Beche tops LMP2 Pro-Am

Mathias Beche was the fastest of LMP2 Pro/Am entries and seventh overall in the #29 TDS Racing ORECA with a 1:32.491. He was the last driver under the 1:32.500” mark during FP1.

Corvette tops LMGT3

In LMGT3 class, Charlie Eastwood was the only driver to set a sub-1:43” time with a 1:42.827 at the wheel of #82 TF Sport’s Corvette.
