First pole for Aston Martin this season in LMGT3

Aston Martin Vantage in pole tomorrow

Clement Mateu (Racing Spirit of Leman’s #59 Aston Martin Vantage) outpaced all Bronze LMGT3 drivers with a 2:04.641 during this afternoon LMGT3 qualifying session and will start tomorrow’s race in pole. Mateu was also the only driver under the 2:05” mark during the session. Celia Martin in #85 Iron Dames Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 was the second and last Bronze driver to set a fastest lap under the 2:05” mark with 2:04.958 during the Bronze Driver Collective test (Thursday afternoon).

Spirit of Race in front row

Duncan Cameron driving #55 Spirit of Race Ferrari 296 GT3 was second and will start from first row as he qualified second with a 2:05. 364.

Mercedes AMG and Ferrari in second row

Martin Berry with Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG was third with a 2:05.417 and will start from second row as well as Custodio Toledo with #50 Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari who’s fastest lap was a 2:05.500.

Last race podium success balast

Iron Dames see their #85 Proton’s Porsche 911 GT3 R weight increased by 30 kg as a success balast for the second race of the 2025 European Le Mans Series since they won the Barcelona round. Ferrari 296 GT3 #57 weight is increased by 20 kg and Proton #60Posche 911 GT3 by 10 kg as they respectively ended second and third at Bercelona.
