The Ferrari 499Ps back on track at Interlagos
Four weeks after the 24 Hours of Le Mans, three Ferrari 499Ps return to action at Brazil’s Interlagos circuit, which hosts round four of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship, halfway mark of an eight-round season.
Ferrari, currently third in the Manufacturers’ standings (with 62 points, 70 points behind the championship leaders), aims to secure valuable World Championship points in a race that has proved particularly challenging for the 499P in previous editions.

Alessandro Pier Guidi #51: “There is no denying that we have not achieved great results at Interlagos in the past, on a particularly short and narrow circuit where we have not yet managed to climb the podium with the 499P. Even so, we have worked non-stop to prepare as well as possible for this event: the hope is to improve on our previous results and collect important points for the world championship standings.”

James Calado #51: “In a championship consisting of only eight races, every event carries enormous weight. After finishing fifth at Le Mans, where for the first time we failed to climb the podium with the 499P, we will be back on the track at Interlagos fully determined to do our very best together with the whole team.”
Antonio Giovinazzi #51: “We arrive in Brazil focused and well prepared to extract the maximum from the package at our disposal. We know that at Interlagos we will have to be perfect if we are to aim for a strong result. In a season that has so far brought us one pole position and one podium, both at Imola, we are highly motivated to bounce back and will look to turn that into the highest possible points haul on the track.”
#50 Ferrari – AF Corse 499P 9th
Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen, who share the sister #50 Ferrari – AF Corse 499P, return to action after retiring at Le Mans. With a P6 at Imola and a P3 at Spa, the trio currently rank 9th in the Drivers Championship with 23 points.

Antonio Fuoco #50: “Interlagos has been quite a difficult circuit for us, considering the results we have achieved with the 499P over the past two years, but as always we will return to action with maximum determination to optimise the package at our disposal and finish with the best result possible. After our retirement at Le Mans with our number 50 499P, we are eager to bounce back, so we hope to be among the protagonists with a strong result in Brazil.”

Miguel Molina #50: “One month after Le Mans we have an opportunity to try to score valuable points for the championship standings. Everyone in the team is highly motivated to do well, while fully aware that we struggled a great deal at São Paulo in 2024 and 2025. We will be racing in a very special atmosphere: the Brazilian public has always shown tremendous support for Ferrari, and personally I feel the backing of the South American tifosi very strongly. These will be extra motivations to tackle the race with maximum concentration and determination.”
Nicklas Nielsen #50: “The previous two editions of the São Paulo 6 Hours were not particularly positive for the 499Ps, but last year, overall, we made progress compared to 2024. We start from that point with the aim of taking another step forward and trying to score important points for the world championship standings.” Source: Ferrari
