After qualifying with first, third and fourth fastest laps, Ferrari dominated Hyperpole scoring another 1-2-3 this season. Three other manufacturers got their full lineup qualified for Hyperpole: Alpine, Cadillac and Peugeot. Robin Frijns qualified the #20 BMW M Hybrid V8.

Fuoco the fastest with Ferrari 499P

Antonio Fuoco qualified his #50 Ferrari 499P for Hyperpole with the fastest lap of the session in 2:00.108. During Hyperpole session Fuoco clinched his first pole this season aboard the #50 Ferrari 499P with a 1:59.617. This marks Ferrari’s third consecutive pole position in the 2025 season.

Antonio Fuoco: “I'm really pleased with this pole position – Ferrari's third in a row this year – which is the result of the excellent work done by the whole team. We managed the tyre warm-up phase well, allowing us to maximise the car’s potential on the flying lap. It’s great for me to be starting at the front again, but looking ahead to the race, we know it’s going to be long and complex. We expect several rivals to be very competitive on this track, making the 6 Hours a wide-open challenge among multiple manufacturers. For our crew and for Ferrari, the aim is to score as many points as possible.”

Kubica also under 2’ mark

With Fuoco, Robert Kubica was the second and last to drive a fastest lap under the 2’ mark with a 1:59.964 steering AF Corse Ferrari 499P #83.

Giovinazzi third

The current championship leaders Calado-Giovinazzi-Pier Guidi will start from second row as Giovinazzi was third of Hyperpole with #51 Ferrari AF Corse Ferrari 499P.

Antonio Giovinazzi:”Starting third on the grid is a great result, and I’m happy to see three Ferraris lining up at the front here at Spa. The weekend didn’t get off to the best start for us, given the accident I had in FP2, which cost us a lot of valuable time preparing for qualifying. But I want to thank the team and the mechanics, who managed to get the 499P back on track by the end of the same session. Looking ahead to the 6 Hours, we know the race won’t be easy, and we expect several crews to be in contention.” Source: Ferrari

Peugeot in second row

Stoffel Vandoorne was the fastest behind the Ferraris with a 2:00.218 ending fourth in the #94 Peugeot 9X8 and will start from second row.

Stoffel Vandoorne (PEUGEOT 9X8 #94): “Qualifying was quite tricky because we had some small issues in Free Practice 3. So I was relatively cautious during the session and finished 10th, which was enough to make it into Hyperpole. There, I knew what to expect from the car and tires, so I was able to push. I’m very proud of this fourth-place result today.” Source: Peugeot Sport

Cadillac and Alpine in third row

Alex Lynn, driving the #12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R, qualified fifth on the 18-car grid for Saturday’s TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa with a lap of 2:00.246. Lynn has advanced to Hyperpole in all three rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season.

Mick Schumacher captured sixth with #36 Alpine A424.

Alex Lynn:I think it was a decent qualifying session. We dreamt of more as we always do, but P5 on the grid is a solid place to start tomorrow and we’ve improved the car a lot over the weekend. Both Cadillacs into Hyperpole, which is great for the team and we’re going to score some heavy points tomorrow.Source: Cadillac Racing
