Spa FP3: 2 Ferrari, 2 Cadillac and 1 Toyota top 5

Five drivers did improve Kevin Estre’s FP2 fastest lap during FP3 this morning. Two Ferrari, two Cadillac and one Toyota are now in the top 5 of Hypercar combined practices ahead of 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps qualifying and Hyperpole. Simon Mann (Ferrari 296GT3 #21) and Gianmarco Levorato (Ford Mustang GT3 #88) improved LMGT3 FP2 benchmark.

Fuoco the fastest with Ferrari 499P

Antonio Fuoco was the fastest of today’s free practice with a 2:00.596 aboard the #50 Ferrari 499P and tops combined free practices beating Kevin Estre’s yesterday benchmark by 0.879 seconds.

2 Cadillacs in top 3

Two Cadillac V-Series.R are among the top 3 of combined practices with Earl Bamber driving #38 Hertz Team JOTA with a 2:00.793 and Alex Lynn with sister #12 in 2:00.823. Together with Fuoco they a the only drivers under the 2:01” mark of combined practices.

Actually, Robin Frijns at the wheel of the #20 BMW M Hybrid V8 was faster than the two Cadillac during FP3 with a 2:00.604 but his best lap was later struck from the record for speeding in the pit lane. One’ll have to consider that performance for this afternoon qualifying and hyperpole prognostics.

Kubica and Hartley in top 5

Two more drivers did improve Estre’s best lap: Robert Kubica in #83 AF Corse Ferrari is fourth with a 2:01.205 and Brendon Hartley on board of the #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid was fifth with a 2:01.259.

Ferrari and Ford in LMGT3

Simon Mann (Ferrari 296GT3 #21) and Gianmarco Levorato (Ford Mustang GT3 #88) improved yesterday’s benchmark (Zachary Robichon with #27 Aston Martin Vantage GT3). 7 LMGT3 drivers are now wishing one second of Simon Mann’s fastest lap with a 2:17.831 (actually the only one under the 2.18” mark).
