Spa FP1&2: 2 Porsche in top 5 with 3 other brands

Kevin Estre was fastest of Thursday practices with a 2:01.475 aboard the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport Porsche 963. 4 manufacturers are represented in the top 4 with Porsche, Ferrari, BMW and Cadillac. The second Porsche 963 is fifth. During the afternoon session, 10 drivers were faster than Fuoco’s benchmark set during the morning free practice (FP1).

Estre the fastest with Porsche

Kevin Estre was the fastest of Thursday practices with a 2:01.475 aboard the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport Porsche 963 set during the afternoon hectic free practice with 3 red flags..The session was extended by 30 minutes to end at 6:30pm due to the long interruptions.

Three manufacturers follow

Antonio Fuoco was second-fastest in the #50 Ferrari 499P, 0.091 seconds short of Estre’s fastest lap. Fuoco was fastest of FP1 in the morning session with a 2:02.835.

Robin Frijns at the wheel of the #20 BMW M Hybrid V8 was third of FP2.

Alex Lynn was fourth in the #12 Cadillac V-Series.R with a 2:01.896.

Andlauer fifth with #5 Porsche

Julien Andlauer drove the #5 Porsche in P5 and is the last driver under the 2:02” mark with a 2:01.984.

Friday, 9 May: FP3 at 11 a.m. (1 hour). Qualifying and Hyperpole for the Hypercar class 3.25 p.m. and 3.48 p.m. respectively.

Saturday, 10 May: race at 2 p.m. (6 hours).
