PEUGEOT 9X8 #93 and #94 2026 driver line-ups

Team Peugeot TotalEnergies confirms its PEUGEOT 9X8 #93 and #94 driver line-ups for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship. The PEUGEOT 9X8 succeeds the PEUGEOT 905 and PEUGEOT 908, victorious at the 24 Hours of Le Mans respectively in 1992 and 1993, and in 2009.

November 26th Team Peugeot TotalEnergies already confirmed its six full-season drivers with Paul di Resta, Loïc Duval and Stoffel Vandoorne who was not part of the team at Bahrain as rumors were pointing the Belgian with Genesis for 2026. The French carmaker also confirmed its 2025 new recruitments with Malthe Jakobsen who started the 2025 season at Losail, Théo Pourchaire who replaced Vandoorne at Bahrain and Nick Cassidy who did his first test with the 9X8 at Bahrain Rookie test.

Those full time drivers would be supported by test drivers Jean-Eric Vergne and Alex Quinn.

The 2026 Team Peugeot TotalEnergies lineups combine seasoned WEC veterans with promising young talent for the upcoming season. 

Paul Di Resta still in #93

Exit Mikkel Jensen and Jean-Éric Vergne who shared the PEUGEOT 9X8 #93 with Paul Di Resta as they’ll be replaced by Nick Cassidy and Stoffel Vandoorne (moving from #94).

Loïc Duval and Malthe Jakobsen still in #94

Only one driver change in #94 as Théo Pourchaire will replace Stoffel Vandoorne as he did at Bahrain last season.

Success of full-time pilots in Endurance

Loïc Duval (age 39): 2013 Le Mans winner with Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish Audi R-18 e-tron Quattro, Duval was part of the Audi Sport Team Joest from 2012 till 2016. In 2023 he shared the 9X8 #94 with Gustavo Menezes and Nico Müller, with Paul Di Resta and Stoffel Vandoorne in 2024 and with Malthe Jakobsen and Stoffel Vandoorne in 2025.

Paul Di Resta (age 43): Long time United Autosports LMP2 driver with a Le Mans class win in 2020 together with Felipe Albuquerque and Philip Hanson. Di Resta joined Team Peugeot for the 2023 season.

Stoffel Vandoorne (age 33): Former Formula E champion Vandoorne started in endurance with a P3 at Le Mans 2019 in SLMP Racing’s BR engineering BR1-AER together with Vitaly Petrov and Mikhail Aleshin. In he was second of LMP2 class with JOTA Oreca shared with Sean Gelael and Tom Blomqvist. He joined Peugeot since 2024 in #94 with Duval and Di Resta and 2025 in #94 with Loïc Duval and Malthe Jakobsen.

Malthe Jakobsen (age 22): joined the team in 2025 driving #94 with Duval and Vandoorne

Théo Pourchaire (age 22): this young single-seater successful driver joined the French team for the last race of 2025 season at Bahrain.

Nick Cassidy (age 31): join the Hypercar category for 2026 after the Rookie Test at Bahrain. He has one experience at Le Mans with AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo #54 he shared with Thomas Flohr and Francesco Castellacci.

The Peugeot 905 made its race debut in the final two races of the 1990 World Sportscar Championship and participated in 17 races, winning 9 of them. After strong competition with the Toyota TS010, the 905 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race in 1992 with Derek Warwick, Yannick Dalmas, and Mark Blundell. This win was followed in 1993 by the team of Geoff Brabham, Christophe Bouchut, and Éric Hélary, in the 905B. In addition to that, the car won both the driver’s and the team’s title at the World Sportscar Championship in 1992.

Peugeot 908 HDi FAP 2010

The Peugeot 908 won 19 from the 28 races in which it raced between 2007 and 2011. The 908 HDi FAP won the title in the 2007 LeMans Series, a one-two finish at Le Mans in 2009 and the inaugural Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC) crown in 2010. Peugeot was totally dominant winning 9 out of the 10 races during the two years (2010-2011).
