Tincknell fastest again at COTA with Valkyrie

3 Hypercar drivers did improve yesterday Tincknell’s fastest lap at the Circuit of The Americas. Harry Tincknell scored the fastest lap during this morning free session with Aston Martin Valkyrie ahead of Jaminet with #19 Genesis and Aitken with #38 Cadillac.

In LMGT3, three teams have their 2 drivers who’ll run for qualifying and Hyperpole in the top 7 of all three free sessions: #27 Aston Martin, #21 Ferrari and #77 Ford Mustang. Qualifying will be performed by the Bronze drivers who will have to be in the top 10 for the Silver drivers to participate to the Hyperpole this afternoon.

Valkyrie fastest of all free practices

Harry Tincknell scored the fastest lap of the weekend so far aboard Aston Martin Valkyrie #007 for Aston Martin THOR Team with a 1:52.174.

Genesis GMR 001-Hypercar second

Mathieu Jaminet aboard the #17 Genesis Magma Racing Genesis GMR-001-Hypercar was only four thousandths of a second slower with a 1:52.170.

Cadillac #38 third

Jack Aitken aboard the #38 JOTA Cadillac V-Series.R finished the session third with a 1:52.435.

Hypercar top 10 fastest drivers all free practices combined

Three teams in top 7 fastest drivers

Zacharie Robichon was the fastest LMGT3 driver and Team owner as well as co-driver Ian James (Bronze) was seventh fastest which is promising for the race AND Qualifying-Hyperpole as James is the Bronze driver who’ll drive the #27 Aston Martin Vantage for the qualifying session.

Simon Mann and François Hériau (Bronze) were third and fourth abord AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 #21; Ben Tuck and Eric Powel (Bronze) were fifth and sixth in Ford Mustang GT3 #77 of all sessions combined fastest lap per driver.
