Stippler pushed Andlauer to the error

Andlauer and Sturm in #3 Falken Motorsports Porsche were leading the eighth round of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series with Frank Stippler in # 6 Haupt Racing Team Ford Mustang GT3 putting as much pressure as he could on the leader. With around 15 minutes to go, on a slippery section of the track, the #3 Falken Porsche with Andlauer at the wheel veered off course, hit the guard rails and had to be retired shortly afterwards while in the lead. The road was then open for Stippler to cross checkered flag first and offer the Ford Mustang’s first victor at the Nürburgring.

FRANK STIPPLER, #6 Haupt Racing Team Ford Mustang GT3 – “It's a huge honor to achieve the first overall Mustang GT3 victory on the Nordschleife. We put as much pressure as we could on the leaders, and it really helped that we understood how to manage our Yokohama tires throughout the race to make that final push. Vincent did a very good job, and we made some good steps toward this result. I'm really happy that the team has the honor now to have won the overall."

VINCENT KOLB, #6 Haupt Racing Team Ford Mustang GT3 – “It's an incredible feeling to take the first series victory for the new Ford Mustang GT3 with HRT at the Nordschleife. The team did a phenomenal job preparing and setting up the car – this win is the perfect reward after yesterday’s unlucky 'DNF.' I'm proud of the whole crew and what we achieved together."Pit stop enables Bachler/Müller to win.

#4 Falken Porsche second

Tim Heinemann and Benjamin Leuchter took second place overall in the #4 Falken Porsche.

After the start, the two starting drivers Joel Sturm and Tim Heinemann pushed further ahead and took the double lead in the first lap. The teal-and-blue Falken Porsches then raced in formation around the legendary Nordschleife. It was only a puncture on the leading #4 Porsche, probably caused by debris on the track, that threw Heinemann and Leuchter back after around an hour and a half. The duo then launched an impressive comeback and were at times the fastest car in the entire field.

Third double victory in the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series for Falken Motorsports

On Saturday, the 65th ADAC ACAS Cup for the seventh round of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series saw Falken Motorsports continued its impressive winning streak with a new double. Julien Andlauer and Joel Sturm won ahead of their teammates Tim Heinemann and Benjamin Leuchter, despite the difficult conditions as parts of the track were suddenly hit by a heavy rain shower.
