Cadillac Whelen #31 dominated and wins The Glen

It was a 6 hours race with 8 sprints as it was interrupted by 8 cautions and even a ninth at the end with cars crossing checkered flags under FCY. Cadillac #31 dominated but, at the end, won thanks to the right strategy: changing two tires when the then leading Acura #93 changed the four. AO Racing wins LMP2, Vasser Sullivan GTD PRO and Manthey GTD.

Back-to-back IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship wins for Cadillac Whelen Cadillac #31 driven by Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber and Fred Vesti who claimed overall and GTP victory in Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen. The trio dominated the race with 143 laps in P1 of the 182 covered.

AO Racing wins LMP2

Dane Cameron, Jonny Edgar and PJ Hyett got their first LMP2 win of the season with #99 AO Racing Oreca 07 Gibson. the LMP2 class did count 7 different leaders. The #99 Oreca trio took the lead with 26 laps to go after leading a total of 45 laps of the 180 they covered.

Vasser Sullivan Lexus wins GTD PRO

Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat win GTD PRO, with the #14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3. They led almost 50% of the race.

Manthey Porsche #912 wins GTD

Riccardo Pera, Richard Lietz and Ryan Hardwick got GTD class honors in the #912 Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 R. It is Manthey’s firth win in the GTD class but also in the Bronze sub-class. Thanks to the right strategy, the trio emerged 7 laps before the end of the race!
