Aitken fastest during Practice 1 at The Glen
GTP championship-leading Jack Aitken did set the benchmark in the first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship practice session of the weekend at Watkins Glen International ahead of both Acuras.
Cadillac and Acura have 2 GTP’s each in the top five and BMW one. Both Penske Porsches, only 8th and 9th, were slower than JDC-Miller’s Porsche 963.

Jack Aitken, in the #31 Cadillac Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R, reeled off a 1:33.846 lap time.

Two Aston Martin ahead of #65 Mustang in combined GTD class
Christopher Mies was fastest of GTD Pro with a 1:46.095 lap time in the #65 Ford Mustang GT3 EVO, still slower than two GTD Aston Martin Vantage who were fastest of combined GTDs class.
