The IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup resumes this summer with two 6-hour races at Watkins Glen this weekend and Road America in early August.

#7 Porsche Penske Motorsport and its three drivers Andlauer-Heinrich-Nasr dominate both Teams and Drivers Michelin Endurance Cups with 35 points, 12 points ahead of sister Porsche 963 #6 with Campbell-Estre-Vanthoor thanks to two victories at Daytona and Sebring and the maximum 5 points at each specific intervals. Drivers Jack Aitken and Earl Bamber joined by Frederik Vesti in #31 Cadillac Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R are 15 points behind the leaders with 20 points. A victory and the 5 points after 3 hours of racing are essential for them in order to reduce the gap with the leaders.

Cadillac second in IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup GTP Manufacturers

Cadillac is second to Porsche in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup GTP Manufacturers with a 10 points gap. The American manufacturer can count on both Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac V-Series.R to score points at the 3 hours mark and the race win. At Sebring, the #10 Cadillac scored 4 points being third behind the two Porsches; as only one car per manufacturer scores points in this cup (the first per manufacturer) Cadillac scored 4 points for #10 while the team and drivers scored 3 points.
