Still eight contenders for LMP2 Pro/Am crowns

None of the eight LMP2 Pro/am teams still at play for both drivers and teams championships did score pole in todays qualifying session so that there is no change in the gaps between team ahead of the 4 Hours of Portimao. The top four LMP2 Pro/Am teams are within 6 points with the best chance to clinch the titles with a win. Four others are still mathematically in contention and need the top four to fail at Portimao to clinch the title.

AF Corse in the lead

The Spa-Francorchamps winners as well as 2023 and 2024 LMP2 Pro/Am Champions #83 AF Corse head into the 4 Hours of Portimão at the head of the championship standings. Double champions François Perrodo and Matthieu Vaxiviere are on 67-points with the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Antonio Fuoco.

TDS Racing second

#14 TDS Racing Oreca head into the final race on 62 points, just five behind the AF Corse crew since Steven Thomas, Scott Huffaker and Sami Meguetounif took maximum points at Silverstone, their first podium of the season.  A victory would secure the title and the automatic invitation to the 2027 24 Hours of Le Mans.

AO by TF and United Autosports still in the run

Mathematically, two other teams have still a chance of taking the title: reigning champions AO by TF are on 45-points followed by #21 United Autosports on 44 points. A win is a must for each of them plus a very bad race from the current top two.
