Barcelona's dominators' revenge at Le Castellet

TDS Racing-run #29 Forestier Racing by PanisORECA 07 – Gibson triumphed in the 4 Hours of Barcelona but United Autosport #22 dominated while Duqueine Team led most of LMP2 Pro Am race and Algarve Pro Racing won. Race GP and Team Qatar by Iron Lynx also dominated LMP3 and LMGT3 with no win. Those teams are going to Le Castellet to win their respective crown this weekend.

United Autosport #22 and Inter Europol Competition #34 dominated first round

At Barcelona, Forestier Racing by Panis snatched the 4 hours of Barcelona overall trophy taking the lead at lap 129 (out of 135) but Griffin Peebles, Grégoire Saucy and Ben Hanley on board of United Autopsort #22 led the race during 60 laps (45%) and Reshad De Gerus together with Bijoy Garg in #34 Inter Europol Competition ORECA finished second after leading 32 laps, exactly the same number of laps than Rousset-Gray-Masson in #29 Forestier Racing by Panis Oreca.

United Autosport third.

Despite leading the highest number of laps (60 versus 32 for #34 and #29), United Autosport’s #22 of Griffin Peebles, Grégoire Saucy and Ben Hanley end third.

Duqueine Team in LMP2 Pro Am

Giorgio Roda in #30 Duqueine Team Oreca was, by far, the fastest of the LMP2 bronze drivers, 0.940 second faster than PJ Hyett in #99 AO by TF Oreca in qualifying, scoring the pole point. Together with Doriane Pin and R. Verschoor, they led the race during 89 laps of the 135 covered (66%).

Race GP in LMP3

F. Michal, P. Provost and H. Schwarze in #85 Race GP led the first 64 laps of the 127 covered by the winning #5 Rinaldi Racing or 50% of the LMP3 race after clinched pole with the only Duqueine D09 of the 11 LMP3 entries.

Team Qatar by Iron Lynx

A. Al-Khelaifi in the #62 Mercedes-AMG GT3 won pole of LMGT3 category. Together with J. Hanses and A. Christodoulou, they led 77 laps of the 124 covered by the winning #75 Proton Competition Porsche 911 GT3 R or 62%.
