Alpine and BMW's both Hpercars in top 5 at Spa

Alpine and BMW got their two Hpercars in top 5 fastest lap per driver during FP2 this afternoon at Spa-Francorchamps. FP2 was definitively faster than FP1 as 10 drivers were faster than Fuoco’s fastest lap set in the morning session with a 2:02.955.

Gounon alone under 2:02

Jules Gounon driving the #36 Alpine A424 was the fastest driver of the day with a 2:01.816 and the only driver under the 2:02 mark.

Milesi got his Alpine in top 2

Alpine Endurance Team scored the double during FP2 as Charles Milesi was second fastest with a 2:02.090 in #35 Alpine A424.

Both BMW M Hybrid V8 third and fifth

Sheldon van der Linde was third of the day with a 2:02.179 in #20 BMW M Hybrid V8. Dries Vanthoor got sister #15 in fifth with a 2:02.360.

Aston Martin fourth

Marco Sorensen drove a 2:02.294 during FP2 aboard his Aston Martin Valkyrie #009 which is the fourth fastest lap of the day.

Ferrari sixth

Antonio Fuoco got the sixth fastest lap driving the #50 Ferrari 499P with a 2:02.360.

Jakobsen with Peugeot 9X8 in seventh

Malthe Jakobsen was the fastest of the Peugeot Totalenergies drivers with a 2:02.401 in #94 Peugeot 9X8

Aston Martin #007 eighth

Harry Thincknell was eighth of the day with a 2:02.416 in Aston Martin Valkyrie #007

Kubica ninth

Robert Kubica in #83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P drove a 2:02.449.

Kobayashi tenth

Kamui Kobayashi was the last and tenth driver to improve Fuoco’s morning benchmark with a 2:02.527 aboard Toyota TR010 Hybrid #7.

6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps Schedule

Friday 8, after the third free practice session (from 10.10 a.m. to 11.10 a.m.), Qualifying and Hyperpole for the Hypercar class are scheduled between 3.20 p.m. and 3.57 p.m.

The 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps kicks off on Saturday 9 May, at 2 p.m. (local time).
