Seven manufacturers in top seven at mid-race

Both BMW M Team WRT and Toyota Racing short-fueled one Hypercar each ahead of the pack which gave #20 BMW M Hybrid V8 the lead from ninth overall and #8 Toyota P2. Free from the Hypercar battle pack, the #20 BMW M Hybrid V8 is faster and increases its advantage over its nearest to over 23 seconds at mid-race.

Seven manufacturers are represented by one Hypercar in the top seven overall.

Cadillac #12 takes the lead in first lap

Will Steven with #12 Cadillac V-Series.R takes the lead from Duval’s #94 Peugeot 9X8 in the very first lap for 25 laps..

Rast in BMW #20 takes the lead

Thanks to an early pit which puts BMW M Hybrid V8 #20 out of synch with others, Rast takes the lead at lap 28, just after the first hour when all Hypercars had pitted.

Brendon Hartley in Toyota #8 second

Toyota Racing also opted for an early pit strategy for TR010 Hybrid #8 giving Hartley P2.

Alpine #35 and Cadillac #12 third and fourth

Cadillac V-Series.R #12 and Alpine A424 #35 take the lead for several laps during pit stops but still remain in third for Alpine #35, 44.372 seconds behind the leaders and fourth for Cadillac #12, 52.719 seconds behind leading BMW #20.
