Valentino Rossi: « last season was a good season for us especially in Sprint with a victory. We also did some good races especially in Spa with a P6 but we’ll try to do better this year. The lineup this season is good with Marciello together with Maxime and myself. It will be interesting for me to see the level of the car in GT World Challenge as Marciello is one of the fastest drivers and he won a lot of races, sprint and endurances.

We did several tests during the winter but, as you know, the race is always different.

Our first day was bad because we are not very fast. We are struggling with our car comparing to our team mates who are very strong with the #32. We miss some pace, we are not happy about our performance. It is just a start; usually we are able to improve day by day but this weekend is short with only two days.

The qualification will be crucial for the race because the race is only 3 hours. We’ll make some changes before the qualifying and see where we stand.

Things can change during the race especially with these tyres: you can have very good lap time in the beginning but it is also important to keep the tyres at the right temperature until the end of the stint.

This track is difficult, very technical, you need to know where the right line is. »
