Qualifying At Circuit Paul Ricard

Four different manufacturers will be represented on the first three rows of this afternoon Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup season opener at Circuit Paul Ricard. The combined fastest laps of Andrea Caldarelli, Matteo Carolina and Mirko Bortolotti was the fastest of the qualifying session with #63 Iron Lynx Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 ahead of #22 Schumacher CRLT Porsche 911 GT3 R (992). They’ll start on first row.

Second row will be occupied by M-AMG Team GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO #2 and #163 squad GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2.

Third row will be occupied by Rowe Racing BMW M4 GT3 #998 and Team WRT #46 BMW M4 GT3.

Iron Lynx #63 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 will start from pole since its drivers Andrea Caldarelli, Matteo Cairoli and Mirko Bortolotti, recorded a combined time of 1:53.027 during qualifying this Sunday morning.

The #22 Schumacher CLRT Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) driven by Ayhancan Gïven, Laurin Heinrich and Dorian Boccolacci will also start on front row as they recorded the second best combined time, 0.187 seconds short from pole.

Mercedes-AMG works drivers Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller and Jules Gounon will start from second row as they ended third with M-AMG Team GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO. Fabian Schiller was the quickest across all three segments of qualifying with 1:52.752.

#163 squad GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 led Q1 and Q2 thanks to the efforts of Franck Perera and Marco Mapelli but fall back in P4 after the lack of a competitive time for Christian Engelhart.

Augusto Farfus together with the BMW M Junior team drivers Daniel Harper and Max Hesse in the #998 ROWE Racing BMW M4 GT3 will start from third row as they performed the fifth combined time of the qualifying session.

Maxime Martin and Raffaele Marciello (top) ended both 5th during their qualifying session but Rossi (bottom) ended 36th of his session close to one second slower than Marciello who was the fastest driver of the #46 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3.

Dries Vanthoor was the second fastest overall during his qualifying session. Together with Sheldon van der Linde and Charles Weerts in #32 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 they will start from fourth row having performed the seventh combined time.
