4 Mercedes-AMG drivers topped GTD - GTD PRO tests

4 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVOs drivers topped the IMSA Sanctioned Test at Daytona International Speedway for GTD and GTD PRO. Winward Racing was fastest of combined tests with its pair of Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVOs topping both GT classes. The four Mercedes-AMG Works drivers were the only ones under the 1:47.500 mark.

3 Mercedes-AMG drivers top GTD PRO

Maxime Martin was quickest of day 2 morning session (6) with a 1:47.152 aboard the #48 Mercedes-AMG. That was the fastest lap of combined sessions 0.035 second ahead of Mikael Grenier in #75 75 Express Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO. Martin’s teammate Scott Noble confirmed the velocity of the new Mercedes-AMG GT3 by setting the third GTD PRO fastest lap of combined sessions with a 1:47.622.

2 Winward Racing drivers topped GTD class

Lucas Auer (only 0.004 second from Martin’s fastest lap) and Philip Ellis aboard # 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 dominated the GTD class aboard #57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO.. They were respectively third and fourth of combined GTD and GTD PRO categories.

Thiim third GTD with Aston Martin

Nicki Thiim with the #44 Magnus Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo was third 0.381 second behind Ellis in GTD class with a 1:47.537 which was the fifth fastest lap of both categories.

Porsche 911 fourth in GTD

Jan Heylen with #28 RS1 Porsche 911 GT3 R (993) was fourth in GTD class with a 1:47.677. It was the seventh fastest lap of combined GTD and GTD PRO categories behind Scott Noble in #48 Winward Racing Mercedes (fourth GTD PRO).

McLaren 720 GT3 fourth in GTD PRO

Dean MacDonald aboard #59 RLL Mc Laren 720S EVO was fifth fastest of the GTD PROs with a 1:47.684 and eighth of combined GTD and GTD PRO categories.
