Blomqvist puts Acura in Battle on the Bricks' pole
Tom Blomqvist secured a front row start for the #60 Acura ARX-06 ahead of tomorrow's TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, qualifying the Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian machine first for the penultimate race of the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

Blomqvist and Colin Braun are looking for their first win of the year and first victory for the electrified Acura ARX-06 at the Brickyard. Last year, in the previous six-hour format of the event, the pair brought home a solid third place finish.

We had a good build-up to it with our practice sessions. The car had good pace, so it was just about me and the team executing, which thankfully we did. Jack Aitken, #31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R run by Action Express Racing: “Run was good. We had to work pretty hard through practice to find a good rhythm with the car. I think we rolled out with a good car from last year, obviously we were very competitive, but the track's been changing a lot this week. But I was really happy with the changes we've made, and I think we can be really proud of the front row start, next to the 60. It's a good spot for tomorrow, obviously, and hopefully keep ourselves towards the pointy end and out of trouble. That's the aim, always in these sprint races. So, yeah, really happy, good start.”
