Acura's second Weathertech win in a row at The Glen
The Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen saw Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian claiming their second-consecutive victory of the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season after winning the Detroit Grand Prix earlier this month. This time, it was the #60 Acura ARX-06 of Colin Braun and Tom Blomqvist that took home the top prize.

From third to win in the final minutes
After starting from third on the grid for the six-hour race, Colin Braun got caught up in an incident early on in the running, dropping him back down the order to seventh. Inclement weather further added to the unpredictability, with bursts of rain creating slippery conditions—made even more difficult for Braun with a malfunctioning windscreen wiper. As the track gradually began to dry, the team opted to switch to slick tires earlier than some of their competitors—a strategy decision that ultimately proved to be fruitful.
Braun continued to make progress through the field, moving up to fourth place before handing over the Acura to Blomqvist at the halfway mark. The Brit went on to complete a sweeping overtake to propel himself into the top three, putting him in the perfect position in the last hour. In the final minutes, the two competitors ahead had to complete a final pit stop for a splash-and-go, promoting Blomqvist to first on the last lap as the team's fuel strategy paid dividends.

Tom Blomqvist (#60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Finished first: "Great for everyone on MSR, HRC and Acura. The guys did a fantastic job committing to that strategy and putting the odds in our favor to win that race. Obviously, we were able to execute and I'm really happy with the job I did as well. Really stoked for everyone at Acura Meyer Shank and the #60 guys. We had really big fuel targets and that's what enabled me to get to the end and the others not. Really proud of the effort, it wasn't looking great for us and we had a few mistakes at the beginning, but we made the most of the day to be there at the end. This is a result that we deserve for Colin and our crew, everyone has been working super hard. The #93 won last time and now it was great for us to win as well. We're just getting better and better every race, so hopefully more to come."
Colin Braun (#60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Finished first: "What a great result. I'm super proud of everyone at Acura, HRC and Meyer Shank Racing. What a great day; I don't exactly know how we got to the end result, but wow, so proud of everyone. It all came together at the end and Tom did a great job, the MSR guys did a great job on the pit stops and the stand did an amazing job getting every ounce of energy we had available to work there at the end to be able to stay out. Awesome day and we're just so happy." Source: Acura
Cadillac Wayne Taylor’s podium
The #40 and 10 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.Rs earned second- and third-place finishes while victory was snatched from the #31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R when Earl Bamber, who led the previous 63 laps, was forced to pit for energy on the penultimate lap.

Second is a season high for the #40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R driven by Jordan Taylor and Louis Deletraz and the 126th IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship podium for Wayne Taylor Racing.
Jordan Taylor: “It’s nice to finally get a good result. It has been since March of last year, so I feel like we got the monkey off our back a bit with all the bad luck we’ve had. Nice to leave here with some momentum. It’s the first WTR double podium we’ve ever had, so that’s cool to share the podium with the 10 car. We still have some work to do, so we’ll leave here happy but with our heads down and focusing on getting better.”
Louis Deletraz: “On the 40 we’ve had a bit of a rough season, so to go P2 and fight for a victory is a nice feeling. I really enjoyed the end of the race in the car fighting for position. I’d like to thank Wayne Taylor Racing and Cadillac and happy to have our sister cart in P3 and for our first podium together since we have had two cars. A great day and we know we can be even better, so looking forward to the rest of the season.”
With a P3, Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque recorded their second consecutive podium in the #10 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R.

Ricky Taylor: “What a wild day. I don’t know if we had the pace of the 31 at the end, but I think the team just put us in position to get lucky. I’m really proud of the guys for sticking to it and pushing all day. A double podium, we’ll always be happy with that. First one for the team with Cadillac and continuing a nice bit of momentum.”
Filipe Albuquerque: “What a crazy race. The beginning was wild, Ricky got touched (and spun in Turn 5) and we went last. Rain, dry, rain again. Just chaotic. We had to split the race, so Ricky did three hours and I did three hours. It was tiring, it was hot, but you go for the end. We were super lucky with the last safety car; we just pitted and it brought us third place. There was nothing left in it. Great result for Wayne Taylor Racing.” Source: Cadillac Racing

Matt Campbell (Porsche 963 #6): “Fourth place is much more than we were expecting before the race. Our performance in the practice sessions and qualifying had us fearing the worst. Naturally, we’re pleased with the result in terms of the championship standings – though we needed a fair bit of luck to get there. That said, the result does not reflect our pace. I’m hopeful we’ll be back at the front in the next race.” Source: Porsche
Whelen Cadillac fifth
Earl Bamber took over from Aitken and Vesti for the last stint. He did set the fastest race lap twice (1 minute, 34.608 seconds) and withstood restart challenges off three full-course yellows. When the 10th yellow flag of the race came out with 10 minutes left, the Action Express Racing team was hopeful of the race finishing under caution. But the green re-emerged with 3 minutes, 4 seconds left, which created a sprint to the finish that the #31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R entry could not complete as Bamber, who led the previous 63 laps, was forced to pit for energy on the penultimate lap with 1:26 left.

Earl Bamber: “The car was amazing. I can’t fault the team. We had awesome pit stops and a good strategy called to get back to the front. Unfortunately, a car broke down and ended our run.”
Jack Aitken: “We had a really quick car today, probably the quickest. I think the Acura was right there, too, but we were controlling the race from the front towards the end. The race threw a lot at us with mixed conditions at the start of the race that were really sketchy and tough to an air jack issue on pit lane. But we managed to bring ourselves back to the front of the race, executed really well but unfortunately right at the end we were caught out with that yellow that created the perfect opportunity for the 60. It wasn’t quite long enough for us to make it on fuel. That’s just how it goes sometimes, and hopefully we carry this pace to Road America.”
Frederik Vesti: “Frustrating times. We had such a good car the whole weekend. We were in the lead, were all the way back to last place and luckily we got a safety car at the right time and managed to bounce back to the lead. We had so much pace in this car this week and feel like we deserve a win. But that’s racing.”
