To the exception of Lamborghini, each GTP manufacturer has one driver within the top 6 of yesterday's free practice at Michelin Raceway in preparation for Motul Petit Le Mans, last rounds of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championships. The afternoon session (FP2) was the fastest for each of the top 10 drivers.

Cadillac, Porsche, BMW and Aston Martin got each of their official GTP’s represented in the top 9 and Acura got the #60 ARX-06.

The 3 Cadillac V-Series.R represented in top 9 drivers

Jack Aitken was the fastest of the day driving #31 Cadillac Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R with a 1:10.882 set during FP2, the afternoon session. He was the only driver under the 1:11.000 mark. Felipe Albuquerque was third fastest on board of #10 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac V-Series. R with a 1:11.175; Jordan Taylor in #40 Cadillac was 9th with a 1:11.970.

With Frederik Vesti setting the 10th fastest lap of the day, Cadillac Racing count four drivers within the top 10, all within 0.813 seconds.

Championship leading #6 Porsche second

Thanks to a 1:11.175 set by Matt Campbell, championship leading #6 Porsche 963 was second fastest of the day. Felipe Nasr was seventh in #7 sister car with a 1:11.500.

Vanthoor gets BMW in top 4

Dries Vanthoor got his #24 BMW M Team RLL BMW M Hybrid V8 in the top four with a 1:11.263, only 0.040 seconds slower than Albuquerque (third). Sheldon van der Linde got sister car #25 in P8 with a 1:11.521.

Aston Martin THOR Team in top 5

Ross Gunn drove the #23 Aston Martin Valkyrie with a 1.11.356, which was the fifth fastest la of the day.

Acura Meyer Shank Racing #60 in top 6

The #60 Acura ARX 06 from Meyer Shank Racing is within the top 6 thanks to a 1:11.500 set by Tom Blomdvist.

Lamborghini SC63 slower

Romain Grosjean was the fastest of the three #63 Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse Lamborghini SC63 drivers with a 1:12.185 set during the first session (FP1) which is the 20th fastest lap of the day, 1.268 seconds slower than Aitken fastest lap.
