6 GTP championships are at play at Michelin Raceway Saturday with Motul Petit Le Mans race, the last round of the 2025 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Porsche and its Porsche Penske Motorsport teams are leading each of the six championships/cups with #6 Porsche 963 and Mathieu Jaminet - Matt Campbell leading both WeatherTech SportsCar GTP teams and drivers championships, #7 sister and Felipe Nasr - Nick Tandy leading the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cups for Team and Drivers and Porsche leading both manufacturers championships (WeatherTech SportsCar and IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup).

The IMSA Michelin Endurance Cups (Drivers, Teams and Manufacturers) are still very open between Porsche, Acura and Cadillac’s teams. The battle for the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTP Manufacturers is open between Porsche and Acura. Jaminet and Campbell need a P10 to clinch the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Teams and Drivers should sister #7 or #24 BMW win.

Three teams are still in line for both championships with 145 points seperating them:

#6 Porsche Penske Motorsport with Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell
#7 Porsche Penske Motorsport with Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy
#24 BMW M Team RLL with Philipp Eng and Dries Vanthoor

With a gap of 131 points with Nasr-Tandy, the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport team need a P10 and to qualify ahead of sister #7 to clinch the crown if #7 Porsche 963 wins.

There is still a tiny chance for #24 BMW M Team RLL BMW M Hybrid V8 to challenge both Porsche teams for the teams and drivers championships but only if they score pole and victory at Motul Petit Le Mans AND Jaminet-Campbell (co-driven by Vanthoor for this race) don’t end in the top 10. One could fine-tune the reasoning but basically that is it, Eng-Vanthoor need a win at Michelin Raceway and a pole at minimum to get the crown.

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTP Manufacturers

With two wins and two P2 in the last four races, Acura is now 7 points from leading Porsche. The one who’ll have one car ending ahead of the other will be Manufacturers Champion..

Both Porsche 963 from Porsche Penske Motorsport clinched four wins in a row until Acura reversed the game from Detroit on.

IMSA Michelin Endurance Cups GTP Teams and Drivers

15 points will be granted at Motul Petit Le Mans. #7 Porsche Penske Motorsport leads IMSA Michelin Endurance Cups Teams with Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy leading the Drivers standing. Sister #6, 7 points behind is still in the play. So are #60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Tom Blomqvist and currently second (3 points behind) and #31 Cadillac Whelen with Jack Aitken and Earl Bamber, third, 6 points behind leading #7 Porsche.

IMSA Michelin Endurance Cups GTP Manufacturers

This cup is still very open with Porsche, Acura and Cadillac separated by 5 points. 15 points will be granted at Motul Petit Le Mans with 5 points at the 4 hours, 8 hours marks and finish.
