Cadillac and Aston Martin fastest in practice 3

Alex Lynn with the #2 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R ran fastest during practice 3 this morning in 1:40.677. That puts him in P2 of combined practices. It is the second time (FP3 in Bahrain was the first) Cadillac tops a Free Practice in the World Endurance Championship.

Kevin Estre keeps P1 in combined practices; Jean-Eric Vergne with Peugeot 9X8 becomes third and Jenson Button drops to fourth with #38 Porsche 963 from Hertz Team JOTA in combined practices.

Alex Riberas was the fastest LMGT3 this morning with #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage in 1:54.963 beating Davide Rigon in #54 Vista AF Corse 296 GT3s, by 0.053 seconds.

What is noticeable for the race is that all three drivers of the #54 Ferrari 296 LMGT3 are within the top 5 performers of combined sessions with Francesco Castellacci in P3 and Thomas Flohr in P5. Only 0.186 seconds separate the three drivers.

20 drivers have their fastest lap within 1 second from Ribeiras’ Benchmark representing 10 teams and 6 manufacturers. Only Lexus RC F LMGT3, Ford Mustang GT3 and Porsche 911 LMGT3 are not within this group.
