Eddie Cheever III fastest of Pre-Qualifying

Eddie Cheever III led Pre-Qualifying in the #93 Ziggo Sport Tempesta Ferrari 296 GT3 with a 1:34.049 for the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup event at Circuit Zandvoort.. It is still 0.427 seconds slower than Ricardo Feller’s fastest lap in Free Practice with the #80 Lionspeed GP Porsche 911 GT3.R (992) (1:33.622).

Two more Bronze Cup teams in top 3

Christian Engelhart in #01 GRT – Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2 was second with a 1:34.115 while Dennis Marschall completed a Bronze Cup top three in the #74 Kessel Racing Ferrari with a 1:34.141.

Las Sprint race winner fourth

Lucas Auer, who won the second Sprint race at Brands Hatch and current Championship leader, was fourth fastest in the #48 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo with a 1:34.170, 0.121 second slower than Cheever’s benchmark.

A third Ferrari in top 5

Marcos Siebert in #52 AF Corse – Francorchamps Motors Ferrari was fifth overall and topped the Silver Cup with a 1:34.203. His Bronze rated co-driver Jef Machiels had an incident when taking the wheel over from Siebert which caused the first Red Flag of the session.

Two favorites within next five.

Dylan Pereira was sixth fastest in the #66 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II and fourth in Bronze Cup while Ivan Klymenko was second in Silver Cup and seventh overall with #26 Sainteloc Racing Audi.

Pro-Cup drivers and also among the favorites of the next two races Luca Engstler (#63 GRT – Grasser Racing Team’s Lamborghini) and Maxime Martin (#9 Boutsen VDS Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo) were respectively eighth and ninth fastest.

First in Gold Cup and tenth overall is #69 Emil Frey Racing Ferrari of Thierry Vermeulen.
