IMSA: News from Daytona tests days (day 2).

GTP

Both #24 BMW M Hybrid V8 with Philipp Eng and Scott Dixon with #01 Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac V-LMDh completed their first laps during the second day of tests at Daytona International Speedway

It was the first time that all four GTP manufactuers were running together ahead of the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.

Nearly all LMDh cars faced various systems issues over the course of the tests days at Daytona raising concerns among drivers about the reliability of the GTP’s 7 weeks ahead of Rolex 24. WTR and MSR (with Acura ARX-06) as well as BMW Team RLL recognize having run less laps than Cadillac and Porsche since Motul Petit Le Mans first test in October but reliability remains a concern for all manufacturers and OEM involved in the build of the GTP cars.
