Porsche and BMW dominate Macau free practices

Four Porsche 911 GT3 with 2 BMW M4 GT3 R topped Thursday combined timesheets in the streets of Macau for the FIA GT World Cup.

Picariello fastest

Alessio Piccariello was fastest of both sessions in #911 Tempo by Absolute Racing Porsche. With a 2:15.966, he was the only one to break the 2:16 barrier.

Marciello second

Raffaelle Marciello with the #53 ROWE Racing BMW was second 0.173 second back from the #911.

Vanthoor third but crash in FP1

Laurens Vanthoor topped a rapid FP1 session setting the third fastest lap of the day (2:16.451) but crashed out heavily, spinning out of Turn 2 and hitting the barriers heavily. Due to significant damage to his #992 Tempo by Absolute Racing Porsche, Vanthoor was not able to participate to the second session..

van der Linde fourth

Sheldon van der Linde in the #31 WRT M4 GT3 Evo was fourth of the day with a 2:16.575..
